La Baldufa Company of Comedians was created in Lleida in 1996. The main aims of the company are, firstly, to offer shows of high artistic quality, without ever losing their sense of humour, which characterises their work. Secondly, they endeavour to create shows that are multidisciplinary using the utmost in theatrical resources. Thirdly they wish to offer shows that are suitable for all audiences but mainly for children. Finally they aim to create shows that are ideologically committed to the values of solidarity, tolerance and respect.

The creative members of la Baldufa are: Carles Benseny, Enric Blasi, Emiliano Pardo i Carles Pijuan.

Over the years they have produced ten shows with which they have travelled throughout the geography of Catalonia and a large part of Spain too. They have also worked in education, on promotions, inaugurations and other productions commissioned by different organisations and companies. They have also collaborated with other theatrical companies and professional such as Marcel·lí Antúnez, La Fura dels Baus, Titiriteros de Binefar, and Actors...

Over the years they have taken part in a great number of European festivals and have received prizes for some of their shows.

In November 2007 they organised, in collaboration with the council of Mollerussa, the Festival Humoriscausa, a weekend of humour for the whole family.

La Baldufa is a member of SGAE, Ciatre and TTP, it also collaborates with Clowns Without Borders.
